Ultrasonic Shot Peening
Ultrasonic Shot Peening differs from the conventional treatment.
Instead of using air flow or high speed turbine, USP is using the acceleration of a vibrating surface.
The shot peening media can be different types (size and material).
Advantages of the Ultrasonic Shot Peening are:
- better surface finish than conventional shot peening
- guaranteed treatment reproduceability
- leaving behind a clean surface
- Application with low wall strengths possibly
