Ultrasonic Shot Peening

Ultrasonic Shot Peening differs from the conventional treatment.
Instead of using air flow or high speed turbine, USP is using the acceleration of a vibrating surface.
The shot peening media can be different types (size and material).
Advantages of the Ultrasonic Shot Peening are:

• better surface finish than conventional shot peening
• guaranteed treatment reproduceability
• leaving behind a clean surface
• Application with low wall strengths possibly
